Peppermint Oreo Truffles

Oreo Truffles are one of my all time favorite treats, and these have a little holiday twist making them perfect for your Christmas cookie tray! All you need is 5 ingredients to make this peppermint Oreo treat that all of your guests will be reaching for.

Tips & Substitutions

  • It is key to get your Oreos to as fine as a texture as possible! I like to use a food processor, but a high speed blender would also work. If you do not have access to either, put your Oreos in a double bagged zip-lock and crush using a rolling pin!
  • Make sure that your cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing into the Oreos! This will make your mixing process much smoother.
  • Feel free to omit the coconut oil if your white chocolate is thin enough to easily drizzle over top! This ingredient will help thin the chocolate out while still allowing for it to harden.
  • For the crushed peppermint topping, many stores will sell peppermint candy canes pre-crushed, otherwise you can double bag candy canes and crush them yourself!

Ingredients

– 18oz oreos (~36 cookies)

– 8oz cream cheese, at room temperature

– 1 cup white chocolate chips or white almond bark

– 2-3 tbsp coconut oil (optional, but this will help thin out the chocolate if needed)

– 1/2 cup crushed peppermint

Directions

  1. Add oreos to a food processor or high speed blender and blend until smooth
  2. Add oreos and room temperature cream cheese to a large bowl and mix well. I find that this is easiest to do with your hands!
  3. Using a cookie scoop or large tablespoon, scoop the dough and roll into balls. Place them on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 mins
  4. Melt your white chocolate according to packaging, then drizzle over top of the oreo balls. Top with the crushed peppermint topping & ENJOY!
