Cheesy & salty Ranch Snack Mix – the ultimate crowd pleaser!!! This is a recipe that we make at least 10+ times a year because it is perfect for any and all get togethers. It is easy to make, keeps well for 2 weeks and is one that everyone loves.

Tips & Substitutions

  • The elements of this recipe are very simple - a plain salty cracker, a cheddar cracker & a pretzel!
  • For the plain salty cracker I prefer to use mini saltines, but oyster crackers would also work.
  • For the cheddar cracker, I like to use either Cheese-Itz or Goldfish but feel free to use your favorite cheesy cracker.
  • For the pretzel aspect, I like to use as small/bite-sized pretzel as possible. Tiny twists or pretzel balls work great!
  • You will need 3 packets of ranch seasoning - I like to use 2 regular packets and one spicy packet to add some heat, but feel free to customize to your liking.
  • The most frequent question I get on this recipe is oils to use instead of canola oil. You will want to make sure that whatever oil you are substituting for is a neutral cooking oil, such as vegetable oil or grapeseed oil. If you would prefer to use olive oil, use a light olive oil as that will not give off as strong of an olive undertone.

Ingredients

– 1 box mini saltines OR 1 bag of oyster crackers – whatever you can find!

– 12-16oz cheddar crackers (Cheez-its or goldfish works great!)

– 12oz bag pretzels (Smaller sized pretzels work best for this!)

– 3 packets of ranch seasoning (I used 2 classic & 1 spicy to add some heat)

– 1/2 cup canola oil

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix all of your pretzels/crackers until well combined
  2. Split the mix into 2 large plastic bags (you could also do this in the bowl that you mixed everything in if it’s big enough!) Add 1/4 cup of oil to each bag, along with 1 packet of ranch seasoning to each bag. Mix until evenly coated
  3. Add 1 bag to a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil & top with 1/2 packet of ranch seasoning
  4. Bake the mix at 250 for 10 mins, mixing at the 5 min mark. Repeat with the second bag of mix and ENJOY!
